Why?

Between the data itself, the chance to socialise and expand your network, free food and drinks, and – picture this – the chance to win a prize (if you attend both sessions)… the question that remains is: why not?

Prizes

Awarded in gift cards (Amazon ES, Cartão Dá or FNAC)

from 6:15 pm to 8:30 pm.

FAQs

In preparation for the big event (Hackacity, Nov. 24), there will be 2 meetups (Road to Hackacity) to bring together participants and non-participants in Hackacity to start getting into the themes and networking with peers and mentors. These meetups aim to develop insights about sustainability in topics such as circular economy, renewable energy and urban mobility.

Same as Hackacity, the Road to Hackacity is open to both data enthusiasts and data science professionals, 18 years or older. If you fill these requirements, this event is perfect for you! Keep in mind that your team will need some experience (academical, professional, hobby, etc.) for solving the challenge within a short period of time.

No, Road to Hackacity means to bring together participants and non-participants in Hackacity. Participants are free to attend any events they want to, and participation in one event is independent from participation in the other.

Road to Hackacity consists of two events. The first, on November 9th will be focused on discussing several challenges related to sustainability. The second, on November 16th,  will be focused on generating possible Solutions for the identified challenges in the first Event.

Participants can register for either event or both.

No, the registration and participation in Road to Hackacity are free of charge.

Registration is individual for both events. In the first event participation is also individual. However, during the second event, teams will be made on-site to participate in the competition.

Registration is free and applicants will be accepted in order of registration, until November 1st 2023.

Between the data itself, the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable future, the chance to socialize and expand your network, free food and drinks, and – picture this – the chance to win a prize up to 150€ … the question that remains is: why not?

November 9 and 16, from 6:15pm to 8:30pm at UPTEC Asprela, Rua Alfredo Allen, nº 455-461, Porto.
